• About the RTP

The Kennet & Avon Canal Rural Transport Partnership (K&A RTP) was set up in June 2003 with the aim of enhancing rural transport services within the 'canal corridor' in order to promote and improve sustainable access to, and use of, the canal. The Partnership's work focuses on tourism and leisure visitors to the Kennet & Avon Canal, while also improving access to jobs, services and recreational activities for rural populations.

The partnership is based on the Kennet & Avon Canal Partnership, which has successfully worked together with local communities to deliver funds provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the final restoration phase of the canal.

The organisations below are members of the partnership. This list is not exhaustive and other organisations and community groups are consulted where possible.
